REPUBLIC BANK CPL “STEP INTO THE PARTY” CHALLENGE – FANS STEP UP FOR WELLNESS AND COMMUNITY

The Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League (CPL) is delighted to announce the tremendous success of the “Step Into The Party” Challenge, a virtual fitness initiative that inspired fans across the Caribbean and beyond to move for wellness, unity, and fun.
Over the course of the campaign, fans collectively achieved 179 million steps logged. This is the equivalent of more than 80,000 miles walked – enough to circle the globe over three times.
The Guyana Amazon Warriors fans led the way, recording an incredible 53 million steps. While the team narrowly missed out on lifting the CPL trophy on the field, they emerged victorious in the fan step challenge.
The most dedicated participants will not go unnoticed. The best-performing steppers are in line to win amazing prizes from the CPL’s tourism partners across the region, celebrating the Caribbean spirit of movement, discovery, and togetherness. Winners will be contacted directly to finalize prize details.
Launched earlier this season, the “Step Into The Party” Challenge invited fans to take part in virtual fitness journey competing collectively and individually to log their steps as they stayed active throughout the 2025 CPL season.
“This challenge has always been about more than fitness,” said Pete Russell, Republic Bank CPL CEO. “It’s about uniting communities, celebrating our culture, and stepping forward together for a meaningful cause. Health and wellness remain central to the CPL, and seeing our fans embrace this journey with such passion has been truly inspiring. Encouraging sustainable, accessible ways for everyone to stay active is at the heart of our Health and Wellness initiative, and this challenge has shown how powerful that message can be when we take it on together.
“The Republic Bank CPL thanks all participants, partners, and supporters who made this initiative a success. Together, we proved that when Caribbean fans step up, we step forward as one community.”
