HISTORIC MASSY WOMEN’S CPL BOWLS OFF AT PROVIDENCE ON SATURDAY

Saturday 6 September, 2025, will go down in cricket history as the day when Massy Women’s Caribbean Premier League (WCPL) makes it debut in Guyana.  From 2pm, home franchise Guyana Amazon Warriors will take on former champions Trinbago Knight Riders in what promises to be a high-octane encounter.

Two-time defending champions, Barbados Royals will make their first appearance the next day when they battle the Amazon Warriors from 3pm.

The three-team tournament will see each franchise taking on the other two sides in a double round robin before the top two sides clash in the final on Wednesday September 17 from 2pm.

This season of Massy WCPL will see all seven matches being played in one territory as opposed to previous editions where two venues were used.

Additionally, matches will be played as double-headers alongside games from the Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League (CPL). This unique format provides fans with unparalleled access to both men’s and women’s elite T20 cricket in a single outing - doubling the action and delivering even greater value for spectators.

This season will be the first time that both WCPL and CPL champions will be decided in one territory.
