REPUBLIC BANK CPL DELIVERS US$36.8MILLION FOR TRINIDAD & TOBAGO IN 2025

The Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League (CPL) generated a total event impact of US$36.8 million for Trinidad & Tobago during the 2025 tournament, according to an independent Economic Impact Assessment conducted by GSIQ .

Matches played in Tarouba between delivered a direct economic impact of US$24.6 million, alongside US$12.2 million in international media value promoting the Visit Trinidad brand across global broadcast, digital and social platforms .

A total of 58,934 fans attended matches in Trinidad & Tobago, marking a 2% increase year-on-year. Of those attendees, 2,984 were international visitors. Visiting supporters stayed an average of 3.9 nights and contributed US$15.3 million in attendee spending, supporting accommodation providers, restaurants, transport operators and retail businesses across the country

CPL’s direct investment into Trinidad & Tobago reached its highest level to date. In 2025, the tournament spent US$5million locally, creating 261 new jobs, investing US$1.2 million with local suppliers, and spending US$2.1 million on salaries . Over the past decade, CPL and the Trinbago Knight Riders have invested US$35.7 million into the local economy, with 2025 representing the largest annual investment yet.

In addition to the economic contribution, Trinidad & Tobago benefited from extensive global exposure. The tournament generated US$12.2 million in media value, including US$11.1 million from broadcast coverage alone. India once again proved to be the most valuable international market, contributing US$5.2 million in media value, accounting for 43% of the total.
